Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal till July 12 in the money laundering case related to Delhi liquor policy. CM Arvind Kejriwal was presented in the court by ED through video conferencing.
Earlier on June 29, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was produced by the CBI in the Rouse Avenue Court. After the hearing, the Special CBI Court of Rouse Avenue sent Kejriwal to Tihar in judicial custody for 14 days.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI on June 26 in the Delhi liquor policy case. The court sent him to CBI custody for three days. Kejriwal was produced again on the 29th after his CBI remand ended. Earlier, Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in a money laundering case related to the alleged liquor policy scam. Since then, Kejriwal is lodged in Tihar Jail.
MP Sanjay Singh surrounded PM Modi
AAP MP Sanjay Singh had attacked PM Modi over the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal by the CBI. He had said that the CBI has arrested the CM on the instructions of PM Modi. Sanjay Singh had said that the Rouse Avenue Court said in its order that the ED has no evidence against Arvind Kejriwal. It is working with malicious intent. The ED has no money trail, no evidence, no recovery of money against Arvind Kejriwal and hence Arvind Kejriwal is innocent. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI on the instructions of the central government, PM Modi.
